Shodo (Japanese Calligraphy) is one of the most beautiful Japanese traditions to express Japanese Beauty. Thus, the library volunteers Mayuko Hijikata (Akita International University student, Japan) and Ieva Mičiulytė (alumni of East Asia region studies, Kaunas) kindly invite you to join the calligraphy workshop and to try out Shodo yourself! During the workshop you will not only expand the Shodo world by learning about Shodo history, but will also be able to learn how to draw Shodo!
Arvydas Čiukšys, a photographer of urban architecture known to Kaunas culture people and the city community, invites you to the photography exhibition "never sleeps" at the Kaunas County Public library (K. Donelaičio St. 8, III a. Event Space) on September 23 6 p.m.
The exhibition will be open from September 23 to October 7.
