Nowadays, at least before the Covid-19 pandemic, we could not imagine our life without going abroad for holidays, work, family visits. Today, as never before, it is also pertinent for each person to keep up with rapidly evolving technologies to catch up with the modern lifestyle. There is no surprise that more and more seniors are trying to learn the English language. What are the main factors that can facilitate and encourage to learn of the English language for the elderly?

From March 22 in Kaunas County Public Library publications are issued in the usual way – in reading rooms. Readers can return the borrowed publications to the library unit from which the publication was borrowed, or by a self-service device (Radastų St. 2, at the service entrance).

The aim of the MEANING project is to develop guidelines for English language teachers in order to better respond  to the learning needs of senior students. Specifically, it aims:

  • to motivate and activate seniors to learn and participate in lifelong learning.
  • to find a way to help senior learners with a learning process to improve their language skills and to achieve better results in English language learning.

As quarantine conditions will be tightened from December 16, many of you are asking – if Libary will work? We want to inform you, that the Library will WORK and we will provide only lending publications services and remote services for visitors.
